Wellcome to
Casa San Nicolás
An accommodation with three centuries of history close to the Collegiate Church of Sar in Santiago de Compostela.

The house, a former tanning factory between 1800 and 1910, now converted into a small 7-room hotel in the heart of Santiago de Compostela.
Located in the heart of the historic complex of Santiago de Compostela, a few steps from the imposing Collegiate Church of Sar, Casa San Nicolás is a refuge of charm and tradition. Located at the foot of the Via Jacobea, this welcoming hotel is housed in a listed building that is part of the city's rich history. Inside, you can breathe the legacy of old factory facilities dedicated to the production of tanning, dating between the years 1800 and 1910.
A space full of history and serenity
The rehabilitation of Casa San Nicolás began in 1996, with the aim of maintaining the original essence of the place. Perfection was not sought, but rather the creation of a warm and authentic environment that highlights the natural beauty of its original materials. Wood and stone predominate in every corner, providing an atmosphere of calm and simplicity.
A place to admire the past
In the patio of Casa San Nicolás, you can find historical pieces that speak of the industrial past of the area, such as the large granite wheel belonging to a bark mill from 1800, or the foundry wheel of the fountain and the monolithic salting room, both from the 19th century. These elements evoke the history of Santiago, offering a special and unique touch to your stay.
